Children will love this fun-to-make salad and serve it themselves with lettuce and pear halves. It is cute and healthy.

Pear season is beginning so what better time to make a sweet pear bunny salad? You will need some green leafy lettuce. (The ruffly kind has more nurition than the iceberg type.)

You will also need some fresh pears, (1/2 pear for each salad) or a can of pear halves, cheddar cheese, a jar of maroshino cheeries, and mayonaisse.

Position a leaf on each plate and top it with a well-drained pear half. The stem end will be the head. Put a cherry on that end for the nose, use six thin strips of cheese to form the whiskers and a spoonful of mayonaisse in a pouf for the bunny's tail.
