Encourage your child to do nice things for others. Here are some ideas and some safety precautions for volunteering.

Dear Readers,

Would you like to learn to show others you care? Can you, as a child, make a difference in the world? Of course, you can and you can enjoy doing a good deed, not for pay or for show. You can volunteer to help out at home, reach out to elderly acquaintances, and learn to be a good neighbor. Learn how you can help soldiers, or reach out to nursing home patients and hospital patients.

In these two articles, Random Acts of Kindness, and Acts of Kindness, find ideas for volunteer projects and kind deeds. Learn how you can help others and how you can enjoy doing so. Also, you will learn how you can become a caring friend and a useful member of your community. Also included are some instructions for staying safe while you stay busy with your volunteer work.

Get going and have a great time!
