Happy Fall Everyone!
Teachers, parents, grandparents, and homeschoolers looking for some fresh ideas for classroom and home use will want to read my article on Leaf Art Ideas for Kids. In it you will find a half dozen ideas that kids will love to try. These crafts aren't really new, but I have gleaned them from my collection of very old craft books, written when crafts were simple and did not require a trip to the teacher store or a huge investment of time and effort.
Since I love studying nature, my favorite crafts include items from nature--pinecones, leaves, rocks, shells. These bring nature into the classroom in a form few children can resist. They are great for projects and also to teach about nature at the same time. With a craft about leaves teach tree indentication or about photosynthesis. Teach why and how leaves change color in the fall.
Have fun with these art ideas amd look for even more simple low cost ideas in my latest article More Leaf Art Projects. Get those kids out in the bracing cool autumn woods to pick some leaves and try some of these crafts.
