Are you looking for a classroom project that will be a great learning experience? Children use a container to house their own aquascape, including fish.


This article presents ideas for a unique classroom or homeschool project. Maybe your child wants a real aquarium. He will need to study first to decide what kind he can manage, how to set one up, what fish he can put in it, and how he wants his to look.

For most of us having an aquarium is not an option. They require much work and attention and can be costly and messy. Here is a plan for creating a waterless tank and gaining the benefits without the drawbacks.

Maybe he is an artist type who wants to design and present his own fish and waterscape. As an ongoing art project, children will have fun designing and constructing both tanks and fish.

This waterless Aquarium project can be either or both art and science. The child is certain to learn much about fish and fish habitats along the way. Add to your project by taking a trip to a fish store, hatchery , lake, water course, or pet shop. Let the learning begin!
